Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is better recognized by her stage and screen name Gugu Mbatha Raw. Gugu became famous due to her appearance in the BBC Science Fiction TV show Doctor Who. Gugu gained fame for her performance as Tish Jones. The character was her sister. People loved her joyous energy and spontaneity, and there was no stopping Gugu from a successful career in acting! The actress also appeared on other British stage and television productions. Her work has been critically acclaimed due to her outstanding performance in 'Belle' (2013), a British period drama as well as "Beyond the Lights" (2014) which is a romantic drama. Chelsea Joy Handler is a New Jersey native born in Livingston on the 25th of February, 1975. Her family consisted of six members including Chelsea Joy Handler as the youngest. Handler was raised in a family of six children. Her mother was employed at home and her father was a dealer of used vehicles. Her mother is German who came to America in the United States from Germany in 1958. The cancer of the breast was first discovered in the year 1989. She died a decade after battling cancer. Handler was brought up in Reform Judaism by her father who was Jewish. Handler had a pleasant good, healthy and safe childhood within a thriving neighborhood. She moved into Los Angeles when she was 19 years old, to pursue acting. To help support herself, Handler began to work as an actress. Handler at the time was at the age of 21, decided to focus on stand-up comedy full time when she discovered her story telling skills. Handler's career started as an actress in an all-female cast for the Oxygen channel's reality-TV show Girls behaving badly. It was a combination of hidden cameras and practical humor. The show ran from 2002 to 2005. Handler began appearing on other TV shows, such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started working for The Tonight Show as a correspondent. Handler was given her first major break in the form of hosting her own E! Show in 2006. called The Chelsea Handler Show. It lasted two seasons. Handler continued her stand-up career by performing on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour and which was a tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have aired her stand-up comedy shows. In 2010, she was confirmed to host the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. In this way, she became the second woman in history to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
